How Effective Is Your Digital Marketing Strategy?



Building a marketing strategy is an ongoing process. You should take into consideration a few things when working on a strategy like who is your audience? What do they want? How do you get that message across? However, when you’re not seeing the results you desire from your marketing efforts, it is important to ask the questions below and adapt your strategy accordingly in order to achieve the best results possible:


  • Am I seeing the results I want?

Remember that it takes months to see effective results of your digital marketing efforts but you can always measure the short-term results and track your strategy performance with some key digital metrics for example pay-per-click (PPC), website traffic, clicks from social platforms… etc.


  • Is there an issue with the execution?

A strategy without a proper execution (expression). Unfortunately, a lot of businesses work on a plan then don’t follow through which can lead them to miss opportunities for business growth.


  • Are there holes in my strategy?

As you work through your plan, you should be constantly monitoring and checking where is there room for improvement. Analyze your marketing data to get relevant insights and find out how you can optimize your strategy to accelerate the results.


  • Does my content align with my product or services?

Some people get a little confused about the difference between a brand strategy and a content strategy. Your brand strategy informs your content strategy, and your content strategy helps execute your brand strategy. To connect your content strategy to your brand strategy, make sure that you communicate your brand story, identity, and messaging through your content and make it tailored to your marketing personas.



Persistence and patience are the keys to a successful marketing strategy. To make your strategy as effective as possible you will need to experiment, test, and adjust your plan according to your results.
